    Where did they come from?
    What color eggs do the hens lay?

    I'm thinking they're mixed breed birds. The hens could be someone's home made sex links (which are mixed breed birds). the rooster kinda resembles a black copper Marans, but the color and shape aren't quite right.

    Light brown eggs from one and white from the other I got them from first Monday trades days in canton tx

    Agree with Donrae....while they look similar to Marans, the egg color is wrong, and the body type for the roo is wrong, too much red on the BSL type hen....barnyard mixes.
