What breed and gender are my 12wk old chicks?

    Can anyone tell me what breed and gender my chooks are please? Theyre from the same batch of eggs so are either sisters or brothers.[​IMG]

    Just got them today. The place I got them from doesnt know either. :-/

    They are mixes, possibly Wyandotte, RIR, or australorps.

    It can depend on how old they are, the dark one looks like a pullet, the one in front not sure, probably pullet too.

    Theyre around 12wks old :)

    ...Actually, my husband thinks they're older.

    I'm pretty sure they are both hens.

    Thank you. 'Ive been keeping hens for over a year now but still feel like an amateur.

    I had two isa brown hens until yesterday. I unfortunately had to have one of them put to sleep at the vets due to EYP.

    My other hen was going nuts in the coup on her own so I now have these two 'pullets' keeping her company. I've fenced them off from her for the time being just so I can watch how they get on for a few weeks.

    The white one is a mixed breed. The black one may be Black Australorp, or a mix. Both look like pullets to me for now.
