What breed and gender is my chicken?

    Can't help you with breed but it looks like a rooster to me. That's a lot of big, pink comb for an 8 week old bird.

    I'm thinking black Cochin, but it's hard to tell without the tail feathers! The other guess would be black Langshan. And he's a rooster.

    Thought black langshan as well! He has almost no tail right now. Thanks everyone! Assumed a roo as well!

    I have a black Cochin and they look a lot diff from each other. This one doesn't have as feathered legs and isn't as round. Stands very tall too.
