What breed and gender is this chicken?

    i have had this chicken since it was a baby and it is now 7-8 months old but i have no clue on its gender since it has not laid an egg yet if it was a female or crowed yet if it was a male
    i bought it from a market vendor and they were sold under a name of colt chickens.

    if it turns out to be a roo he has got to go (do not want another angry neighbour at my door:lol:) anyway would the breed of him/her be able to be told.

    That is not a barred rock. It may have some barred rock lineage but the barring is very, very, VERY poor. It's a barnyard mix.
