Out of our seven birds, I'm not sure what breed these two are. Any takers? Thanks!

The first one looks like a golden laced wyandotte (GLW). (rooster)

Normally, yes, they get pretty big. But most out there aren't as big as they should be.

The black one is probably a black Andalusian.

The black one is a rooster too and I would say a minorca as a guess.

Thank you all! The black roo is the smallest of them all and the most dominant. I am happy to introduce Big Bopper (the GLW) and Johnny Cash to you all!

Since minorcas tolerate heat more than other climates, how can I take special care of him because we do have fairly harsh winters.[IMG]

How small is small, 'cuz that guy looks more like an Old English to me. The body's too upright and the lobes too small for a minorca IMO.

ETA: Minorcas are also the largest of the Mediterranean breeds and they have huge combs and wattles. Plus, true Minorcas are still relatively rare. I wish I had a pic of my black OE roo ... he could be your bird's twin.
