Well I have processed the 2 roos I purchased that were supposed to be hens and my cousin was wanting to thin down her flock. These three came from her. I asked what kind they were and the best she could do was tell me that they were black with "hair" on their feet, and that they lay a lot! OK, great sounds good to me so I picked them up and am now wondering just what I have gotten. She also threw in the white bird cause she says she has too many chickens. Either way not a bad price for three laying hens, they were free. Can anybody take a guess at what i have acquired from her?[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

For your black hens, if they have feathers on their legs, Black Copper Marans and Black Marans.
