What breed are these girls

The only two girls that I don't know the breed of! Everyone said NH Reds but my previous Reds were much much darker! They're pretty calm and non-aggressive. Good egg layers with large tan/cream colored eggs.

She looks like a Production red, or Red sexlink to me, or possibly a cross.

She's Production Red.


A Sex-link would have white in her tail.
A New Hampshire (note there is no "Red" in the breed name) would have a different body type and to a point darker.
Orpingtons have a different body type and would have White legs, feet, beak etc.

She's also not even close to a Rhode Island Red.

Genetics are playing a lot in the color, since the Production Red isn't a true breed there are a number of combinations of breeds that can used to make up a Production Red.

To me she looks like a Production Red that carries Leghorn blood in her somewhere in the breeding.
