I recently got my first small flock and the person I bought them from said they were all Rhode Islands, but after doing some research I think I got two Rhode Islands and six of these. Can anyone tell me what these are? According to the seller they're about seven months old if that helps.

They are Easter Egger chickens. In general they are a chicken of mixed origin who carry the blue egg colored gene and lay colored eggs. The eggs are usually a shade of green but can be any color including blue, brown, white, and pink.

Looks exactly like my Easter Eggers, who lay a light greenish blue egg. Love them!

Thanks for the help everyone! Not only do I know what breed of chickens I have but now I know what EE stands for when I'm reading through these forums! I can't wait for them to start laying and see these colorful eggs! Thanks again!
