What breed chicken is this?

    (He/she -I'm unsure of sex, but this chick is a little over 30days old I believe..
    Could anyone help me identify the breed on theis charming chick? Thank you.)

    Looks like a Barred Rock to me, but I am not astute enough to be able to tell if it is a mix or not. There are some on BYC who can tell if it is pure Barred Rock. If you got her from a hatchery then I say Barred Rock.

    I bought it from a hatchery; do they usually have greenish legs like that?

    The legs can end up being greenish on a breed that isn't supposed to have green legs...I have seen it in other breeds.

    I don't think they're really green, it looks to me like you're seeing the dark wash over the yellow under color. The dark wash of color down the legs is one of the indicators the bird is female, so it's a good sign.

    Looks like a Barred Plymouth Rock pullet to me, too.
