My guess based on the pink leg color is light Sussex. Is it suppose to be a purebred? Could also be a mix.

Well he said barn yard mix. So he's my rooster right now and i don't really care about blood line too much right now. My goal is just to have some color n my eggs. It keeps my son interested. So wanting to possibly do some breeding to get a olive color. Dark if possible. Any guidance or info welcome

Very nice looking rooster but, really need to see him alone - in standing profile and also head on showing his comb etc.

Than he's just a mix, my guess would be Orpington and Delaware.

In order to get olive eggs you need to cross a dark brown egg layer like a Maran with a green egg layer like an Easter eggers. There are few different variations of the mixes. There is an Olive egger thread. A search of this sight should get you there.

I don't guess there is anyway for me to know what gene my rooster carries
