The Cuckoo Nest66
Chirping
We have 13 chickens and I can only figure out what breeds some of them are. The mixes are of course the trickiest. So, let's play a game! What breed is it anyway?
Number 1 is our youngest gal, Chickaletta. She has 4 toes but they are feathered. She is white with black specks. Im thinking part Tetra Tint? The feathered toes throw me off though. Silkie?
Number 2 is our little roo, Looster. He has slate/black legs and beak, 5 toes and the outside ones are feathered. Blue-ish earlobe. Part Silkie and..?
Number 3 is Papaya. She's black with a green iridescent shine. Ive always thought she was Australorp but discovered that she has 5 toes. She has not laid eggs here yet.
Number 4 is Tina. Shes white with super faded black marks on her tail, wings, and hackle. I'm thinking Sussex but curious what you guys think. She has not laid eggs here yet.
Number 5 is Peaches n Cream, one of our newest additions. She lays inconsistant shades of green eggs as she is a pretty new and young layer, I so badly want to know what she is made up of because shes so cute!
Aaand lastly, is Hal, another newbie. She is all white with pinkish legs and beak, like our Dorking. Im pretty sure the lady said she IS part Dorking but I'm curious about the rest because she has 4 toes and her feathers arent colored. She is super friendly but also very noisey while confined.
I'm super curious to hear what everyone thinks. I am still fairly new to chicken life and I want to learn as much as I can since it has become a passion of mine. Let me know if more pictures are needed. It's tricky getting non blurry photos!
