There are probably a few breeds that look that way as chicks, but I'm not certain. Maybe when it starts getting some feathers, it will be easier to tell.

It seems a bit dark for a BO? My BO chicks were very pale yellow.

I have a RI 3 day old that is super light and looks pretty similar, although last year's RI was much darker and redder.

BTW...did you hatch it? If so, what color was the egg? this will help determining the breed.

Yes, I hatched the egg and the egg was brown. I know that the hens are golden comets. I don't know the breed of the rooster.

If the hen that laid the egg is golden comet, then it is some cross of that. Not anything that can be identified with a breed name. If the rooster is a golden comet roo, it would be a 2nd generation comet, but not sexable by color.
