What breed is my new roo?

    Below are pictures of my new roo. He's quite a looker (I think)... but what breed is he? I'm very new to chickens and breeds...

    EE (Easter Egger) mixed with another breed. Easter Eggers have a beard and ear "muffs". I agree he looks like an EE mix, but not sure with what. He IS beautiful! Go to the Breeds section and look under the sub breeds area for Easter Eggers.

    He's an Easter Egger.

    An Easter Egger is a mutt/mongrel/crossbred chicken. Their only requirement is that they have a blue egglaying ancestor - in this birds case, an Ameraucana. Easter Eggers are NOT purebred Ameraucanas or Araucanas.

    I would say he has EE and Game blood in him.

    Lotsa barring in his saddle and hackle feathers... maybe a EE/BR mix?
