This guy showed up last year on my front porch. I have no idea what breed he is or what he could be. He is what I am learning to be an extremely well behaved rooster. I just thought that most Roosters act like him, and there are a few bad ones in the bunch. He's nice to his Hens, has only pulled a few from them when he was introduced to them. He lets 4 yr old little girl grab him by his tail feathers until she can hold him. That only happened the one time. Now he just lets her grab him. He hasn't attacked any of my kids coming into their coop. He takes care of his girls and puts them all in at night. But what kind of mix might he be? Thanks all!

Congrats on your new roo - he is a handsome fellow! I'm going to guess he has some Silver Laced Wyandotte in him because his coloring and rose comb (if I'm not mistaken) are SLW traits...and I've raised some SLW mixes that resemble him.

Looking forward to hearing others' opinions. [IMG]

Looks like a barnyard mix to me, possibly with Easter Egger in him. Sounds like he is a nice rooster.

To be a faverolle he'd need 5 toes and feathers on his feet. He does resemble one though.

Crossbred. Crossed beyond any traits that indicate any specific breed.

To me he looks like he might have some EE in him.

He is a mix of mixes but, a GOOD rooster is always worth having.

He is definately a hybrid. I think he has some Easter Egger in him and he looks to have so,e game breed in him . Possibly American game or Indian game fowl. Maybe Oxford game.
