What breed is this bantam hen

    [​IMG] she is a bantam not shure if she is Barred Rock Bantam or Barred OEGB bought her as a pair with a Silver DuckWing OEGB Roo she is a good egg layer and mom she hatched and raised 8 chicks and currently lays about an egg a day

    looks like she could be a Japanese bantam or a seabright the barring isn't consistent enough to be a barred oegb

    That's not barring, that's mottling. She's a Mottled Japanese.

    Her chicks are black she had them with a silver duckwing OEGB

    Because the gene that causes all those white flecks is recessive. She's, genetically, a solid black hen.
