It does look like a French Black Copper Maran to me, too.

We got some fertile Australorp eggs, 7 look like Australorp chicks but this one doesn’t.

The breeder told me that every now and again he gets a chick that looks like this one?

No big deal, I’m just curious.

Well, a FBCM is a great surprise, IMO. Pretty birds, gorgeous eggs (if you've got a pullet, of course - lol)!

Welcome to BYC. It is possible that the breeder's flock carries DNA from something other than Australorp.

If its out of a pure Australorp flock then its an Australorp. Most likely with color leakage though.
