What breed is this chick?

    Hi there! So here's the story these chicks were rescued and my friend who works at the rescue center gave them to me. I would really love to know what breed they are, so if anyone has any idea please don't hesitate to drop your answer below. Thanks!

    Too young for me. Could you post new photos when they are 6-8 weeks old?

    Probably a Production Red or Rhode Island Red, though a bit buff in down, it still has the foxy coloring and more importantly the red coming in at the wing tips with the band of black...very typical of RIR.

    But, time will tell.

    I"m also thinking something Red. I"m also getting pings on the roo-dar, with those thick ol legs. Makes me wonder if they were someone's packing peanuts they fobbed off.

    I'm thinking Production Red as well. Agree with donrae, those heavy legs is pointing to a male for me as well.
