Just got these hens from a guy who needed to rehome a bunch and i was wondering what kind the lighter ones are. Also the black ones i think are barred rock? do they get along with other chickens?

    Thanks

They are buff Orpington, a better side shot of the barred and black birds would help with identifying them.

The gold birds are buff Orpingtons.

The black and whites are most likely barred Rocks, but the one in front especially puts me more in mind of a cuckoo Marans. The telltale is skin color. Rocks have yellow skin, Marans have white.

And any of those breeds traditionally get along with other dual purpose or laying breeds. Where you tend to have issues is putting bantams and/or ornamentals like Polish in with dual purpose or layers.

I will take side view tomorrow as well as one of the other chickens we got also. Plus will EE's get along with all these varietys as we are getting some of those that need rejoined. Hopefully those chicks get along with our older Red sex link, white rock, production reds, & brahmas
    Thanks

I've had all those breeds together and they've done well.

Individual birds can always throw you for a loop, though, regardless of breed.

Do you have plenty of space for all these birds? 10 square feet each in a run? Crowded birds are going to have way more issues.
