Another bird I want help with. [IMG]

This is one of the few in my flock that seems to be a proper breed and I've always wondered what it might be.

This hen is called Moby Dick:

She could be a Buff Orp. crossed with White Leg Horn.

Yep- sometimes they're called "gold links" or gold sex-links.

I would say she's a Buff Rock or Buff Orpington cross. Possibly purebred Buff Rock, but she's a little light colored.

She has yellow legs, so not a purebred Buff Orpington.

She's not White Leghorn, she's too heavy bodied. White Leghorns actually don't make sexlinks. I only wish they did...

Not a Buff Orpington or a Buff Orpington cross, as F1 crosses still carry white legs.

She's a mutt of some sort though. Likely has Plymouth Rock in her.

She's too pale to be buff (I've been looking at pictures) and too coloured to be white. Which is what someone said on another message board.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've been educating myself through Google about these breeds lol.

Keep the ideas flowing, enjoying all these variations to learn [IMG]
