I'm curious what breed this toy chicken is and if anyone knows of a source for different
models, miniatures, or toy chickens, poultry, or other livestock.[IMG]

I know chicken breeds fairly well and Im not aware of an actual breed in that color. I have seen mixed breeds that color and coluld probably b acomplish by takeing a columbian colored bird over a red or buff chicken. That just looks like one of those toys they just paint to look pretty and made up the breed in thier head or wanted it to look like a mixed breed.

Just for fun, I'd suggest California White. Cross of production white legorn and California gray leghorn.

Basically, a white leghorn bred with most colors will produce white chicks with random dots of black on down and may mature mostly white with random black feathers.

Or a really white splashed rooster out of b/b/s leghorn...

Or a white leghorn roo that spent the night on floor under the roost.... [IMG]

LOL that doesnt explain the Buff coloring tho. took me a second to see it but some feathers r painted buff in hackle, flights and tail. Well I guess your last theory could explain that tho[IMG]

That's what I suspected. Some poor child laborer in China just tried to make it look appealing.
