Someone gave me a packing peanut with the purchase of a Buff Brahma chick. I believe her order came from Ideal.
I think it is a pullet, but I have no idea what it is. I was hoping it was a Wyndacotte because she had some in her order, but now I am thinking EE, but no muff. Help!

Silver Laced Wyandotte! Dunno about pullet, though.

I'm not sure if it's a cockerel or not, Kelly. Usually, they have lots more white in the hackles than the pullets do, but I haven't seen many at that age. I have had five of them, all girls.

In that view, the chick seems to have cockerel's markings. Time will tell, though. How old is it? I can get pics of my SLW pullets at the same age for you to compare.

Ideal sends males as packing peanuts...But I have heard on rare occasion they make a mistake and someone will find a female in theirs.
