sorry but not so a silverlaced wyandotte roo would have a roose comb and be mostly white/silver this roo is mostly black with some silver showing in his hackle and sadel and a slite lacing in his wings he is a mutt mixed breed
That is not exactly true. many hatcheries use single combed birds to help improve fertility. They often end up with single combed chicks. I recieved two silver laced wyandottes from a hatchery, unfortunately for me, my sexed pullets both ended up being male, but I had one with a single comb, and one with a rose. Just cause the comb is wrong doesn't mean that isn't his breed. I will say that he indeed does NOT look like a silver laced rooster going by the lack of white on the shoulders, but he could just be a poor quality one. Is this large fowl, or bantam?
sorry to tell you but any "wynadote" that has a silgale comb IS NOT A PURE WYNADOTE but a mix breed sorry to be the one to tell you this but if you whant a REAL wynadote you would not get them from a hatchery and judging from what you have said you already know this
