What breed do you think he is. Hard to pick up in the pictures but he has a real green tint to his saddle feathers

Seems odd to me he would be a mix, only because he came from a feed store(pretty sure sourced from a hatchery) and the other 4 girls with him all are purebred. I know it's possible he's a mix but I wasn't aware of that being a common practice for feed stores to sell mixes. Any input anyone? I guess the comb is throwing me off on figuring out the actual breed

Looks like a mix. He has a single comb, but he has rounded points--a genetic defect.

Do you know what hatchery? That can help narrow things down.

Problem is, some hatcheries are coming out with "designer" birds that are all but impossible to identify. Asian Blues or Blacks, Madisons, Rainbows or Poineers, Olive Eggers....and don't get me started on all the crosses MPC is sending out this year.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately I have no idea witch one he came from. I guess that explains why I could not figure it out. He is gorgeous and very sweet/docile especially around my 2yr old surprisingly... Bummer about the comb, but now I know..thanks all

I've gotten a mix from a feed store whose supply is from a hatchery, here she is :)
