What breed is this rooster?

    This was a Murray McMurray extra to keep the chicks warm. The legs are black. Thanks.

    I am guessing a barnevelder but not real sure.I seen one on google that looks like him.

    McMurray doesn't have barnevelders. I don't have a clue, with the black legs.

    It is not a Barnevelder. I think it is a Welsummer Roo.


    edit... OK maybe not Welsummer, they do not have Black legs.

    I wonder what chance there would be that they would accidentally have a mixed breed? I went to McMurray website and I can't see anything that looks like your roo. He sure is very handsome though!!

    McMurray doesn't have Welsummers either.

    He looks a lot like a Single Comb Brown Leghorn. Except of coruse for the leg color...strange.
