We received this bantam rooster as a chick without knowing the breed. Please let us know.

He is a Dutch bantam - not quite sure of the color variety.

Looks like a Dutch Bantam mix to me. His color doesn't match any Dutch variety that I know of, making me think he's a mix of different breeds or varieties.

Welcome to BYC! [IMG]We're glad to have you.

Your bird looks like a Dutch Bantam mix to me, too. As Bantamlover21 stated, he doesn't fit any recognized Dutch Bantam color (at least here in the United States- where they originated in Holland there are many more varieties).

Alternatively, he could be a hatchery-quality Dutch Bantam, which are often mixed with Old English Game or other breeds. Hatchery birds don't tend to fit the breed standard all that well. But, that doesn't mean he isn't a great rooster! He is very pretty, even if he isn't a purebred.
