One of her feet is actually broken we think. Going to have it checked out. Poor thing was so scared but now skews sleeping peacefully.

Yeah she is a buff brahma, with poor foot feathering. And yes please get her foot checked out..that is not good!

I know it looks like something got a hold of her and tried to kill her.have you ever seen anything like it? I'm new to the chicken world. Thank you for your help

Yeah it almost looks as though something (like possibly a raccoon) grabbed her foot and tried to pull it off...or she may have gotten it crushed by something. Don't worry too much about it though...get her some help, but chickens are surprisingly resilient and can pull through some serious looking injuries with ease. She (after getting some veterinary care) will make a great pet, a little slower but she will probably surprise you at just how well she can get along.
My neighbor has a chicken that got its leg broken badly as a small chick...she healed up nicely but is unable to use that leg due to the severity of the injury. But she still gets around fine...albeit a bit slower than the rest lol
