What breed of chicken should I put in the 4h fair?

    Hello everyone, I am going to purchase some chicks in a few days and i would like to know what breeds were best for fair I was thinking something like Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Red, and Wyandotte. Any other suggestions. Thanks!!

    Orpingtons and Cochins are also good choices for beginners.

    Old English Game Bantams are a excellent, super fun choice! They are small, friendly, and so full of personality! Or... you could consider raising some ducks this year! But research whatever you end up getting, it will help a lot. [​IMG]

    Personally, I would choose something a little less common so that you'll have less competition.

    I don't want to take the easy way out of it. I want the harsh truth and im a newbie at this so i need to know what the standards are, also this is for experience. I don't really expect to win anything this year with my 4 year old Jersey Giant. :) Thanks!
