These chicks were sold to me as barred rocks. After getting them home and googling how to sex barred rock chicks, I quickly discovered that none of them had any variation of yellow dot or spotch on there head.... Since going back to the store where I bought them, I've noticed none of the chicks have yellow dots or splotches on there heads! So, what could these mystery chicks possibility be? BTW, on the pics with multiple colors of chicks,I'm only talking about the black ones. Thanks IMG_20180324_135901.jpg

Could be Australorps, but most all black chickens start out looking like this. Not Barred Rocks that's for sure.

Definitely not Barred Rocks, but super cute regardless! :)
Agree with the above, they look to be some sort of black breed, but time will tell exactly which. :D

Well.... If they are in fact Australorps, I'm certainly not disappointed because I hear they are very friendly and great egg layers which is perfect for us. Thanks for your help, I'm sure I'll be asking for sexing help and a conformation on what breed they actually are as they get bigger lol

If you got them from Tractor Supply they are most likely Black Australorps...they really struggle with correctly labeling them, at least in my town.
