A little over a year ago, my family and I moved into a house that belonged to someone we knew. The man was moving somewhere three hours away and didn't want to travel that far and long with a rooster and a hen, so he decided to give us the chickens because we have never had any before. She is my sister's chicken, who she named Brown Sparkles (my sister's 7), but we still can't figure out what breed she is. We've asked several people we knew, including the person we bought the house from, but it still remains a mystery. My guess is that she's a Wyandotte of some kind.

    Out to pasture
Easter Eggers are a popular bird - named such because they generally lay pastel eggs

They're somewhere in the middle, but they have more of a green hue to them
