Hi there, any ideas as to what kind of rooster this is? He came home with my kids - from their egg hatching project. The others were all white leghorn roos and chickens ....just curious :)

He looks like an Easter Egger to me, but the yellow legs are throwing me off.

He's an Easter Egger. Since Easter Eggers are crosses, they can have any color shanks.

Wow! He is one heck of a Roo! Gorgeous. I hope he behaves like a good rooster so you can keep him forever.[IMG]

Very pretty Bird. Easter-egger (EE's) Can have Yellow shanks As well as the grey, white, choch. Now Judging by his stance (Wich can't amount for anything)(short stocky) He has more or less something else more generic involved possibly a low percentage of ee. The Beard is actually a decent attribute to him, I would get him a lil hen and let em do their thing.

What a handsome boy! Definitely an EE. If you hatch any of his eggs, every chick will be like a grab-bag surprise in color!

Beautiful too! I just love the beards on EEs. I so wish I could find some around here! [IMG]
