what breed of rooster is this?

    this chicken was supposed to be a barred rock hen when i got it just days old. just confirmed he is a rooster now i will have to change th[​IMG]e name from dixie to something else. is he even a barred rock???

    ok thanks but why does he only have one tail feather? my other barred rock rooster has a beautiful flowing tail.

    The size and shape of the tail can vary quite a lot in individuals within a breed. He looks quite young, so his tail will most likely fill out and look much better when he's fully mature (8 months or so).

    BTW, Barred Rocks are one of my top favorite breeds. [​IMG]

    I don't think that's a Barred Rock the lack of yellow in the beak and leg makes me think that it is either some type of a Sex-link or a Maran.
