What breed of turkeys for the homestead?

Thinking of Narragansettes. Is there any breed that handles cold weather well?
You only have one choice as to breed. The breed is Turkey. Any of the heritage varieties will do well. You can check out many of the heritage turkeys at Porter's Rare Heritage Turkeys.

I have raised Bourbon Reds, Royal Palms, Blue Slates and currently am raising Sweetgrass turkeys. I have not had any problem with any of them even during our -30°F temperatures.

Just pick a color! We raise Bourbons and Narragansett. We haven't had any winter issues with them besides making sure they don't stand out in the sleet and get encased in ice. I've learned to keep them inside if there's winter moisture coming down and no thaw in sight.
