What breed of wild duck layed this egg?

I found a small green egg on the front of a boat at a pond up the road. I put it in the incubator and theres a pretty large embryo inside. Its about the size of a game chicken egg. So its small for a duck egg. Its a very light green. It also has like a white spot around it. I don't really think its a mallard egg do to the size. So what type of wild duck could of layed this?

Hmmm, are you sure it's a duck egg? Did it have spots on it? Perhaps it's a ruddy duck egg? I don't know. Do you have a photo?

No, I didn't find other eggs. But I have other duck eggs in the incubator. How do you add pics?

Nope, it doesn't look quite like that. I don't really think that the white dot is a dot. It looks like a ring? I will add pictures later. But thanks for the replies.
