I purchased these chicks August 20th and thought I had golden laced wyandottes. Based on all the pictures I've seen these definitely aren't wyandottes. What are they?

Thanks, not what I wanted but at least they lay good. I bought 5 of those, 1 Rhode Island red, 1 black sex link, 1 light brahma, and 1 dark brahma. This is my first time raising chicks.

Well that's what was on the label on the cage they came from so I kind of assumed. Guess that was my fault.

Not at all - and that is why I asked because I wanted to understand if they were represented as such as your initial post left that a bit in question. Moving forward, it can be helpful to familiarize yourself with the characteristics of the breeds you are looking for so that if someone misrepresents their birds (intentionally or not - because, depending on setting, mistakes can happen) you will be the wiser and be able to avoid such situations.

Yea I wasn't really planning on buying chicks and I hadn't researched what they looked like before I got them. I Kept waiting thinking I'd see some lacing, that's why I was pretty sure they weren't. Guess it just means I'll have to get some more to add to my flock.

All are Red Sex-Links. They may not be what you wanted, but you'll definitely be happy with the egg production! Red Sex-Links are well known for their excellent egg production, as they can produce 300+ large brown eggs each year.

Now THAT'S the spirit!!!!!!
