Hello, I am very very new to chicken raising. I just want to confirm who/what I have here. Really hope the nice lady who sold me this chick is correct. The chick is about six weeks old.

My guess would be a white Rock rooster.

Thank you for your welcome and your reply. Seller thinks riw pullet. I am too new to know but I can't keep a roo in my neighborhood, so I am hoping pullet.

That much pink in comb and wattles at 6 weeks usually means a rooster.
    Sorry.
Wait it out. If it is a roo, those comb and wattles will get really red and large pretty quick.
If a precocious girl, they'll hang like they are for weeks.

It's not a Rhode Island White. First off, they're very rare and I'm sure the folks who breed them know exactly what they have.
They're also supposed to be rose combed, not straight combed as your bird is.
White Rocks are much more common and the likeliest breed. A female at this age shouldn't have any color to the comb or wattles.

this is so confusing. my internet search tell me this bird is a rock based on its comb and build and pictures of similarly aged birds.
having said that I feel confident the seller is a honest person.
they advertise they are selling rhode island white and they are confident they have sold me a riw pullet.
they have been nothing but kind and are willing to take the chicken back and trade no problem.
I already am in love with this bird and don't want to return it but the internet is telling me its a roo which is not welcome in my neighborhood.
I honestly don't care what breed it is but I am curious.
i got 4 chicks from them and its looking like roo, roo, roo, pullet
or maybe i should say boo hoo hoo

They both appear to be roosters too. :/
