What breed??

We have a few of these and don't seem to be something we ordered from the hatchery. They are turning more buff than white and getting brown spots under wings???

My guess would be an Amberlink or some similar Leghorn based hybrid.

The hatchery these were ordered from doesn't show amber link as something they have so who knows but I looked them up and they sure look like that!!!

Did you get everything that you did order? Packing peanuts (young roosters, often of the Red Sex-Link variety) are added to orders to help keep the chicks warm.

well that is interesting....my friend ordered the order and we just got some of hers....I will ask her!!! These all did have a marker on their head so that is very possible I guess....but in that case you are saying that they are likely all roosters???

Hatcheries often do mark the heads of the Red Sex Link males, so people can get rid of them. And yes, they would all be roosters.

What hatchery was it, and what was ordered? Not all hatcheries add packing peanuts.

That's odd, MMM doesn't usually do packers. I'm not sure that's a cockerel, but it's still pretty young so I guess time will tell.
