An out-of-town friend has a friend that's church received 3 chickens and a turkey as a donation. Some church members built a nice coop (from the sound of it), and they are wondering what breeds these chickens and turkey are. I told her that to me, the first pic looks like an EE and a RIR, the 2nd pic looks like a lt. Brahma (or Delaware? Can't really tell if the shanks are feathered), and I have no idea what breed the turkey is, or if it's a male or female. Please tell me what you think:

I think you are right on all of the chickens. It looks like the white/black one is a Light Brahma & has some leg feathers?? I have two of those & they are so very gentle and sweet~~they have never ever even tried to pick me. [IMG]

I don't know about the turkey. it looks somewhat like the Bourbon Reds I have seen online possibly~That would be a heritage breed.

Lucky church to get that kind of "donation!" [IMG]

Anyone have any guesses on the gender of the turkey? I have NO experience with them, whatsoever.

That second pic isn't a rock, it's a light brahma. The turkeys definately not a bourbon red, possibly a bronze or wild cross?
