What breeds are these lovely ladies?

    Hubby got them from a friend, pullets about 5-8 months old, not yet laying. When I asked the friend what breed they were he said "a white hen and a speckled hen" sooooooo, I came here for help. Thanks in advance.

    black and white seems to be a barred rock and the white is a ..... ?

    Not the best on layers I'm a bantam person but my first guess is Cornish and barred rock?? Don't take my word for it tho, I'm sure somebody will know for sure.. lovely ladies by the way!

    im guessing its a white plymouth rock. if you look at the breeds page, that was the closest thing i thought. [​IMG]

    They were supposedly from the same hatch, they are very close. The barred one is much more clever and quick, the white one is kind of slow:lol: shape, size, features are the same exept color and intelligence. Their names are Salt and Pepper
