What breeds fly the best?

I am looking into getting some ducks. I am thinking about putting a large plastic stock tank and and enclose it (I have plenty of wire and plenty of netting.) I would stack a bunch of rocks up against the tank. But it would be pretty high! What ducks can fly? I was thinking about getting some Call ducks and some Mandarins. Would those be good pond ducks that can fly?

Those are both excellent fliers, being wild breeds! The other good fliers are Muscovies and small/light bantam breeds such as Calls

hey i live in utah also i have alot of ornametal ducks what part are u from? mandarins are great. what size pen u thinking of building?

well i am from brigham city. i favor ornamental waterfowl. in my opinion they are much prettier!! and most of the time eat less then dom. ducks.
