What chicken looks like a barred rock

    dominique chicken only differnce is they have a pea comb and barren rocks have straight combs. both are very old breeds.

    A lot of chickens are barred. I have some bantam sized barred barnyard mixes. One is a pullet with amazing clear bars, and the other is a cockerel with a large black splotch on his back.

    Cuckoo Marans are kind of similar in coloration.

    So are Holland, California grey, Scots grey, and Scots dumpy! There are many birds that have similar looks!

    Dominiques look just like barred rocks, except they have a different comb. Barred Cochins also look like barred rocks, except they are very puffy and feather-footed. Barred rocks ALSO look almost exactly like cuckoo Marans. Hope I helped you!

    Dominiques (except for the rose comb), cuckoo Marans, probably the most common 'look alikes'.
