What chicks do we have??

We found 7 happy chicks hatched in the coop from our andulsian bantam
Our cockerel is a crazy polish rooster they are all happy together in the garage and different colours just curious to find out about the mixed breeds these will become

well we love chickens here and would really love some pictures of the chicks if you can sneak some. that an interesting cross, would assume you might get half and half of the ones we call punk rockers around here lol

Really every breeding is a toss of the dice. In dogs had a buff male bred to a black female - first litter 8 puppies, 1 black 7 shades of buff/silver.

Repeat breeding of same parents again 8 puppies, 1 buff 7 black - no joke.

Have no idea how color genetics play out in chickens, especially since the hen may have been bred by more than one rooster.

Here’s the little guys with the proud mother she’s very protective we can’t walk in the garage without getting growled at the punk rocker is a real small rooster so I’m guessing we’ll have some small crazy pullets in no time.

Yes we keep the lamp on them you can see from the first photo I guess there pretty cosy as they spend most of the time under mummas feathers

Turn it off!!
The hen will keep the chicks warm. The hen will get overheated with the lamp on.
