what color are these?

These are my 2 day old silkies and I was wondering what to consider their coloring. I am thinking they are splash....but after looking at so many pictures of babies silkies yesterday, I am really confused.

They are black in color...but not dark black....and in some areas the black is lighter....then they have silver grey feathering in areas. I've attached a pic and hope you can help. I had told myself coloring would not matter...but after seeing all those pics yesterday it really got me to wondering and now it's driving me crazy!! LOL

From what I was told the eggs were from free range silkies.....being colors of black, blue, splash, and white. Not much help there I know!! I sent her a PM and hopefully she can give a little more details as to what she thinks.

they look blue to me too.....some of my silkie chicks look almost black they are so dark blue. but the black ones really hatch black, there is no question about it. My splash look way more yellow at hatch....

After looking at blues like you said you thought they might be Sonoran Silkies.....I think you may be right. I looked at a few chicks and then adult blue silkies and the coloring seems to look a lot like what these will turn out to be.

I also vote blue, blacks have none of the lighter down. And splash can and does look almost white.

I just got a PM from the seller of the eggs and she says she has got ALOT of blues as well from those....so I'm gonna stick with saying they are blues. Had I not asked...LOL I would have said splash....just due to the 2 color thing going on. And had NO IDEA splash is usually a light colored chick. Hey!!! I learned alot today! LOL Genetics is just NOT my thing. LOL Anyway....thanks for the input. I am having so much fun watching these babies. Already thinking about my next hatch.......thinking white ones this time!! Hubby better get busy on that 2nd coop!! LOL
