what color cornish?

what color cornish do you think i should order: dark, white laced or buff? which of thse colors do you think will come out more true? On murry mcurry it says that the dark is 2lbs bigger then the other colors, does this tend to be true with all cornish or just the ones from them?

None. I've never seen a good looking Cornish from a hatchery, and sadly not even any difference in color. The laced ones are often quite thin and long with quite the tail, and the dark ones are also quite skinny and ugly looking. . .

I'd look for breeders if I were you, but if you really felt otherwise, best you try the dark.

i know that the cornish from hatcheries will look pretty bad, but i dont really mind what they look like because im not looking to enter shows or anything

Here is my 2 year old Cackle Hatchery Dark Cornish Roo Hercules. He is heavy and solid. I have the White Laced Reds and the Dark Cornish are much heavier in comparison.

I will say Cackle Hatchery has some of the best hatchery birds I have seen...
I ordered from the twice last year and was real surprised how good there birds were... There quality is a lot better than the ("top 2 hatcheries")

My neighbors have 5 dark cornish bantam roos, and they pretty much look like the SQ cornish bantams. Why are hatchery cornish horrible?
