Ok, so I know this is an mutt (aka Easter Egger). I'm starting on the path of understanding colors and patterns and genetics, oh my. So, I'm curious what type this little bugger would be labeled. I included a closeup of the back feathers since they are patterned. I don't expect the bird to neatly fit into any EE standard (if there is one) but maybe somebody from another breed chicken can say "In the breed X, that would be called a Y."

That pattern is called partridge. e^b. It differs from duckwing (e+ or wildtype) because the feathers are laced. It's one of the most common EE colours.

Because she's got a gold neck, she's gold partridge. If she had a silver neck, she would be silver partridge.

Kewl! I thought she was "laced" but I wasn't sure from the various descriptions. So "laced" means "partridge" does it?
