I hatched this gal out 12 weeks ago. Can anyone tell me what color she is? Her sister is blue. The eggs were supposed to be B/B/S orps.

    Aloha,

I would say that she is splash colored type of hen. If your parent birds were both Blue type parents then you should get Blue 50%, 25% Black, and 25% Splash. But I am assuming that your parents are both Blue fowl. :)

Quote:She was from eBay eggs that were from a blue splash Orpington rooster with blue Orpington hens. So I assumed I would get b/b/s. She is just such a strange pinkish color. I love her!

from the picture, she looks like she got green legs...hope it is the flash issue from the camera makes her legs look green.

She looks splash. Looks like red or buff bleeding thru the blue feathers which it is not that unusual...genetics gone afowl!

Quote:She has grayish legs just like her sister, who is blue. Must be the lighting/flash.

The red/buff bleeding through makes perfect sense!
