What color is this?

She was sold to me as a black mottled. Kind of looks more like a mottled silver quail.
She is about 3 months old. Thoughts? I want to breed her to my black mottled Japanese bantam. She is a Serama.

I don't know but I want her! Im ordering a batch of mottled cochins next month and frizzled ones too I love frizzles.

Looks black mottled to me.
My mottled always have that two tone black on top white on bottom when they're young.
They'll molt out to the typical mottled pattern then get more white with every adult molt.
Mottled birds change a lot through out their lives. Or at least that's been my experience.

Awesome! She is the only female from the bin with both good tail posture and and no color leakage. I have a smooth female from the bin as well with fantastic mottling, great tail, but read leakage in her saddle. I'm hoping her daughters won't have as much.
