what color will my EE chick turn out as an adult?

    very hard to tell...my girls didn't look like that at all, my avatar is one of mine...now she looks like this:

    I don't know if white leghorns are dominant white or recessive white. You could get something really neat or just mostly white. It will certainly be interesting to see when it develops!

    No, they're white. Silver is actually a gene that replaces any gold/red coloration with white. White replaces black with white [​IMG]



    Looks to me like you had a Leghorn with dominant white, and thus, you've got there a Lavender split chick carrying white, basically a white bird with bits of black.

    It won't look like the previous shown EE roo though. That one is a silver columbian duckwing. Much different from yours.

    I have this boy also, my favorite one...a mix, EE with Golden Duckwing....
    green legs, large floppy comb....
