What color would describe this silkie?? Another mystery page two

    Personally I don't see any hint of barring(cuckoo), it does look like a partridge with the Silver gene. Silver prevents the expression of brown pigments, leaving black and white on the bird.

    Its a grey, with a bit of rust coloring on the wings. In a generation or two, you could get the rust color out.

    Thanks.......I had no idea.....I got these from a breeder in the area.
    I like the color, just not sure what to call it.

    Some call it grey, some call it blue, some call it blue splash. And the pics I've seen looks like yours.

    I am going with silver. Like Kev said, it is partridge with silver added, more like a silver pencilled. The silkie people have a name for it, I just can't think of it right now.

    I have no idea what color it is, but s/he is beautiful!! I like silkies, they are so dang cute.
