What color would u call this? Wing Feathers finally came in enough to see color
Any guesses?? buff with leakage? black with Leakage? partridge? any ideas??
A whole slew of things.
The top chick could be Duckwing w/columbian, or Duckwing x Wheaten, or Buff x Duckwing, etc etc.
The bottom chick could be Birchen, Black, or Brown-Red x almost anything but Birchen, Brown-Red, or Black except if the other bird is carrying extra genes (such as columbian, brown-red, or lacing, or the sort)
Quote:lol soo i guess its ganna be hard to tell untill they get all there feathers in huh
Yep and even then, the second chick especially, it's hard to pinpoint what it is genetically A lot of color mixes look identical to each other or even to true-breeding colors.
But, for a simple name on what the color is or could be called, sure, you can wait til they're 4 months old.
Quote:lol ok..would it help if u knew the parents? lol
Quote:Father of both is a Partridge Penedesenca
Mother of Yellow one is a Buff Orp-Americana cross
Mother of black chick is California Grey
By "Americana" are we talking Easter Egger here? Or a real Ameraucana? What color?
real not EE and Color was also buff.
