Hey all!

I recently got an Ancona drake to add to my flock of ladies. He was advertised as lavender, but I'm wondering if he's more of a blue? I have a hard time differentiating sometimes though. He has a very dark charcoal head, and then a steely grey body with chocolate feathers mixed in.

EDIT: looks like we got swindled with a blue Swedish. At least he's a sweetheart and our hens love him!

That doesn't look like an ancona... but maybe someone who knows more about anconas can verify.
He definitely looks different from the Anconas I currently have, he almost looks like a Swedish. The farm I got him from said they only had pure Anconas there, but did have a larger range of colours/marking variety than I've seen.

Doesn't look like the right body type for Ancona either. Sounds like your were lied to.
